祝！日本初のバルーンをゲット

今夜，AR Sandboxの作者から，〝AR Sandbox around the world!〟に登録したよ，とメールが来た．これでめでたく，我々のAR SAndBoxは公式に認定されて，日本で初めて〝AR Sandbox around the world!〟のマップにバルーンを揚げることができたことになる．いや〜めでたい！

プロジェクトを始めて3ヶ月，なんとか形になったのを機に，公式の認定を受けるべく，思い切ってARSandBoxのサイトにメールを書いてみたのが10日ほど前のこと．日本初のバルーンをゲットしたい，という希望も確かにあったのだけれど，まだ日本語の情報がなかなか見つけられない現状において，我々の取り組みを通じて，英語の情報を翻訳して公開することの承諾を得ておきたかったのが正直なところである．これについても快諾いただいた．

なかなか返事が来ないのでもうあきらめかけていたところへのメールだったので，喜びもひとしお．

Hello AR Sandbox,

My name is Takanobu Sawagaki, an associate professor of Hosei University, Tokyo, Japan. I’m teaching physical geography and environmental science to students of the social sciences department.
Last three months, one of my classes has been atempting to build an AR SAndbox by ourmself, as a part of an exercise lesson. I think that it might be quite a challenging attempt for them, because those students do not major in Earth science nor physical geography.

Now, our AR Sandbox has been completed, and we made a web site introducing AR Sandbox and our activities. Most of the contents of this web site are our original, but some pages are traslation of your site in Japanese. We would be pleased if you allow us to develop this translation in our web site blow.

My students are going to use AR Sandbox for thier better understanding of landform and maps. Some of them are interested in primary education, and they are planning to exibit it in some elementary schools.

I would very appreciate if you could make a balloon of our place into your map of the “AR Sandbox around the world”. I belive it must be the first spike in Japan.
